My Experience ( that related to the movie 'The Pursuit of Happyness' )

Never give up no matter what happen.

    When I watched the movie 'The Pursuit of Happyness', I remembered my own experience that similar to that movie. It was happened in 2007 when I was a freshman in the boarding school. I lived in the dormitory with 12 members and I'm the only the freshman in that dormitory. Since I was the youngest, everyone in that dormitory treated me well and they definitely helped me when I was in trouble. At the same time, many freshmen hated me because of that and they kinda boycott me. No matter what I did, they saw me as a hypocrite person. Whenever I submitted my homework, there was someone who rid of it. It was happened so many times and because of that the teacher had labeled me as the lazy student. Sometimes my textbook went missing before class even started yet and of course the teacher wouldn't believe my reason. The worst was when I finished my lab report, they accused me of copying from them without any proof. However, I never lose hope to change their negative perception about me. Whenever my classmates in trouble, I went to help them although they refused. I never forgot to greet them with smile when we met. Then they slowly began to accept me and treated me as their true classmate. Although it take time, I was glad that they were willing to be the friends of mine because I knew soon my efforts would succeed.

Movie Synopsis

The Pursuit of Happyness is about a salesman (Will Smith) who undergoes defeats, challenges and hardship such as his wife leaving him, being rendered homeless, etc. to secure a better living for his son. Throughout his journey, he never once gave up, and stood firm to his goals. The mood of the show is slow and somber, intended for the audience to experience more fully what the character is going through. Besides determination, self-belief, persistence and going after our dreams, the story also speaks strongly of a dad’s love for his child.

Moral Value

1. Bad days are inevitable.

The movie prove the little part of life called happiness is mixed with many unpleasantness and distress. You have to accept this harsh truth and fights towards taking those days in stride. You cannot deny this and only look out for the good even if you’ve worked super hard. Even diligence and earnestness cannot account for your misery

2. .Never take things for granted

The movie shows that your situation can change anytime. Self-satisfaction is not good for anyone’s health. It’s a virus that prevents progress and inner development. So live your everyday as a new chance to life. Be thankful and make use of the opportunity

3. Positive Attitude

The movie show how a person can achieve greatness by keeping a positive attitude toward life. Not having disheartened by the difficulties in ones life and consistently moving ahead in life, striving to make yourself a better person, that’s what makes a person great

One man' trash is another man's treasure

Assalamualaikum w.r.t.

For a group assignment in this week, we were given an interesting topic "one man's trash is another man's treasure".

The definition for the quote "one man's trash is another man"s treasure" is literally means what is useless to one person might be valuable another.The reason is everything we own has some value. We may find things, people, ideas, currency, or even states of mind to hold value, and there are many reasons that they hold value to us and us alone, while they may be worthless to others. For example, old songs from the 90s like Micheal Chemical Romance and Green Day are valuable to Nuruddin that he stores it into CD playlist which many people didn't listen to that anymore. Besides, living thing like stray cat gives a value to Hanafi that he takes care the stray cat whenever they come to his house although he so allergic to cat's fur. Last but not least is old clothes which many people will sell their old clothes to bundles shop. These clothes seem valuable to Aqil where he bought some of it from the bundle shop. To conclude, value comes in many different forms, and we hold it to different things for different reasons.

My Expectation In Proficiency English Subject 1

In this semester, what I expecting is to achieve in Proficiency English class are to improve my knowledge so that I can speak fluently and write with no mistakes. Other than that, I really hope that I can communicate well with other people by using a proper English. In the end of a semester, I will enjoy a conversation in English with other people with much confident. Furthermore, I expect to write a good essay and score high marks in the examination. Besides, I hope that I will understand the meaning of some idioms and how I will use it in my writing. Lastly, I really hope that I will enjoy learning English as Malaysia is implementing English language as second language.

My Expectation in Proficiency English Class 1.
In this semester, what I will expect to achieve in Proficiency English class are to improve my grammar and vocabulary so that I can read any article without referring a dictionary or reference books. Other than that, I really hope that I can communicate with other people by using a proper English. In the end of a semester, I will enjoy a conversation in English with other people with much confident. Furthermore, I expect to write a good essay and score high marks in the examination. Besides, I hope that I will understand the meaning of some idioms and how I will use it in my writing. Lastly, I really hope that I will enjoy learning English with my classmates in class.

My Expectation from Proficiency English Subject 1.

Bismillahirahmanirahim. What I will expect to achieve in Proficiency English class are three things which are correcting my grammar, improve my vocabulary and use a proper language. Other than that, I hope that I will understand the phrases and idioms so that I could use it in my writing. Besides, I really hope that I can apply what I have learned in class when I meet someone at outside. By the end of this semester, I can make a conversation in English with other people with much confident. Furthermore, I expect to write a good essay and score high marks in the examination. Lastly, I really hope that I will enjoy learning English with my classmates in class.
